Rey watches while Hannah seems to process what Leia had said , the grim message about the fate of the Jedi that had hit her like a ton of stone as well. She had gone to Leia with hope in her heart, only to have to dashed against the rocks and it pained Rey to see anyone else going through what she knew was a far greater disappointment than her own. “I don’t know what I think honestly,” she said, frowning at Hannah. “It’s like she’s closed herself off from who she is,” trailing off Rey shook her head with a frown. Rey could almost have excused Leia’s behavior had it been only to her, a stranger - but to close off family too, especially after all Ben had undergone was much too much for the scavenger to tolerate.
Looking towards Jane and the porg on her head Rey can’t help but feel her mood lighten again, wincing at the horrible squawking sound before she catches Jon’s eye. The anger between Ben and Jon wasn’t yet a story Rey had been told fully, though the tension between the two men is unmissable, still she meets Jon’s eye and smiles slightly in greeting before the porg demands her focus once more.
Rey turned to Ben with a wince as he asked about the porgs. Not counting the ones that had managed to get loose there were still quite a few in the ship’s hold. “Too many, I think I need to round them all up and find a nice field somewhere they can live.” They certainly weren’t going to stay here after all. ,
