Free your father without my brother needing to die but most importantly free you from your prison.

[ Most importantly. Because while he's not in love with how he died, it reunited him with her and they were able to finally be together for what they thought would be eternity. Only for him to be ripped away again. ]

You'll have to fight Heimdallr and Thor. You can't do that on your own.

I might be able to convince Victor and Silje to help. And maybe some of my other brothers. What about your sister?

I'll figure it out. Distract mostly, not kill because if we can win Victor to our side, we should be able to get him to help us win Thor and Heimdallr over. They both follow him easily.

It means we can finally be free of my father's pull and puppetry. And I can finally kiss you under the sun as you deserve.

Win them over? Of all your brothers Heimdallr and Thor are the most loyal to Odin.

If anyone can draw them to our side, it's Vidar, Victor. Thor would follow him almost anywhere, and we can try to get him to pull them to us. But we need to explain things and what's going on without Odin lying to him and winning him.

I can get through to him.

Freeing you and kissing you will be the sweetest motivation for winning the war.

I trust that you will, dearest. But please be careful. After what happened with my brother and my father I'm not sure Vidar will be eager to hear me out.

It's not only Odin we'll have to worry about when all the chains are broken.

I'll find a way to get him to hear you out, and I won't let him touch a hair on your head, you know that.

How bad do you think your father will be?

Not as bad as your father.

[mistel]

I don't plan on my father surviving this. Not after everything he's done.

He knows this war is coming, even if he couldn't have expected who his enemies would be. He'll be prepared, and so we must be.

[mistel]

We'll be prepared, and we'll be well armed and backed up. And if possible we'll sway some of those he thinks he has on his side to ours.

Vidar was supposed to save him, but after using them to bind your father I don't think either will want to join him. Not if we make sure they know Odin was behind it all. And I should be able to keep Baldr with me. So he's down three sons and a Valkyrie he'd counted on.

And to be fair, the Norns said Vidar was the one to save him. Without my brother, he'll be worried, crazed almost. And that's when people make mistakes.

Vidar did save him. Fenris was supposed to kill him.

[ Her poor brother, who had thought they were only doing the right thing, freeing their father. ]

What if the Norns are right about their prophecies, my love? You are meant to return to the living, after Ragnarök. And I am to remain where I must, presiding over the dead my father does not take with him to Vígríðr.

I love you, and I am sorry for your loss, but your brother shouldn't have tried to kill them when can find new plans. I don't want any more of our siblings dying if we can help it, mitt lys.

And honestly, I don't think it's just Fenris that father had to worry about for him to stay alive.

[ In some ways, what were his brother and sister-in-law supposed to do? Just let Fenris kill them? That's not a solution either. If Fenris had stopped and talked to them though, he would have known they were trying a different plan, but the stubborn wolf wouldn't answer their calls, or at least not the ones he tried to make. ]

I don't care about the Norns and their prophecies when it comes to us. I will cut my own threads and sever my destiny if it means I can stay by your side. We are not being separated again.
