Kay followed in silence, though he was most definitely keeping track of things like directions and exits and even number of people they passed -those he could actually see and those who he could only assume existed- because that was the kind of thing he did, and the myriad of statistical predictions he could get up to, even while recharging, would at least give him something to do so that he didn't end up doing something rash.
He watched the exchange with interest, if only because people who'd known Cassian before he had always interested him if only because they knew a Cassian that he didn't.

Was all he said in regards to the charging station, and chances were good that he would go downstairs to charge regardless as to whether the station in the room worked or not, if only so that he could do a still-alert charging cycle. It wouldn't be as efficient, but would allow him to keep tabs on what was going on and if Cassian was potentially in need of a rescue.
