It's like the time-space continuum collapsed over the city
and now doubles and multiples of you or people you like hate want to kill know are appearing.

She is Jacen's canon love interest, but totally up for anything in the movieverse AU setting. Canon point flexible. ]

Armitage Jade-Hux + Smuggler AU

[This is a Hux who was raised by his mother Mara Jade, since he was technically one last mission as the Emperor's Hand before the Empire fell (and because we all know 'kitchen woman' is a useless profession and a bad cover up for something else)
She was barely old enough to have a baby, let alone lug one around the galaxy with her, but she did, and taught him how to hide his presence in the Force from other Force-adepts. It's not the only thing he can do with it, but it's the thing he does best, not covering himself completely, because even mundane people have a presence in the Force, and a void where an active presence should be is especially suspicious.

He's been known to hijack First Order -and other Imperial upstart- supply ships, delivering them to people who can get them into the hands of the Resistance, but that's as close as he comes to choosing a side.

He would be unsurprised to find himself in Canto Bight and may have arrived under his own power, it's always a good place to make a few credits with little risk.]

Undercover wasn't really Poe's crowning talent, particularly when it involved rubbing shoulder with Canto Bight's finest, but General Organa didn't exactly have a host of people to choose from. And so Poe was left trying to blend in as he waited to hear from the rest of Black Squadron, his own roll in this caper one that depended on them to set the ball rolling. And they were supposed to have checked in some time ago, but...noting.

Poe pushed his hair back with a sigh, fingers drumming along the bartop, and he waved over a drink with a frown. This wasn't good.

She's the proprietor of her very own casino and/or temple. She owns a cargo hauler that she does occasionally use to haul cargo, but usually is either a temporary casino or a temporary non-denominational temple. She does, technically, also preside over Cloud City on Bespin, as it's now a premiere resort destination, but as Lando is still alive and still lives there, she doesn't have to be there herself very often.

If she didn't intend to be in Canto Bight, no one would guess, because she knows how to play the rich heiress card like nobody's business.]

[So, the thing about Chosen Ones is that there's usually more than one of them at a time, and a smart criminal mastermind evil genius megalomaniac would-be dark-lord keeps one in reserve while training one, just in case.

Kura was Rey once, for a while, but one name was as good as any other, and when the Knights of Ren began to arrive to teach her things and decided she needed a new name, she was fine with that. She knows that one day it's going to come down to her and Kylo and she intends to be the one walking away from that altercation.]

Ben Solo + never been Kylo Ren

[Ben was six when he was first sent to train with Luke, and twelve when Han finally gave in and came to rescue him.
Luke's academy wasn't destroyed, but it was under siege for days, though by then Ben was already gone and heard about it later, everyone got out, by the time the Knights of Ren got through the gates (since he hadn't been there to open them) the place was empty.
He traveled with Han, learning what he could where he could and from who he could, so he's definitely got piecemeal training in the Force, but he knows enough. Somewhere along the way he got his own shuttle and started running errands for Maz Kanata, usually consisting of finding a Force-resonant person or artifact and moving them somewhere safe, well and away from the First Order and anyone else that might do them harm. Maz is also the one who found most of the people he trained with over the years.

If there's an actual reason he's gone to Canto Bight, it's probably to meet up with one of her contacts for something.]

Poe Dameron + mostly canon-verse

[The only thing that's non-canon, or at least not confirmed by canon, is that Poe is a Force-adept compass. Thanks to growing up with The Tree (one of the pair that grew from the ones outside the Jedi Temple that his mom and Luke Skywalker rescued) right in his backyard, where he could climb it whenever he wanted, he's got a not-quite sixth sense for when someone reverberates in the Force.]

Bodhi Rook + Everyone Lived AU

[ Info post here. TL;DR trained at the academy, refused to join the First Order, fought Ben and was left for dead, fled and started a new life as a bounty hunter because young love ♥ reasons.

This verse is actually a Game of Thrones crossover, but the GoT side doesn't really affect the SW side much, except there being two additional Force-sensitives (Jon and Daenerys), the Skywalkers no longer winning the award for Most Dysfunctional Family (gotta hand it to the Targaryens!), and some interesting role swaps (like Daenerys being Tenel Ka in this AU, but then again TK isn't a canon character anyway lol). What would probably affect the events of TFA the most is the Falcon not being on Jakku (since Jane bought it some years prior, only it's now painted black and red, sorry Dad 😏), so Rey and Finn and BB-8 would have to escape via another ship.

Anyway, canon point is pre-TFA. Would love academy-related shenanigans, or to have Jane run into a Ben — it'll be the wrong Ben, which should be fun because cue panic, OR if you want you're absolutely welcome to AU your Ben as her Ben! >:3 Meeting up with someone in Canto Bight for a job would be cool, too. Or maybe she is the job, I mean by TFA half of the Westeros system wants her and Jon dead lol. ]

Even Kings needed to visit other planets occasionally. Sometimes for trade, sometimes for finding allies, or in Jon's case sometimes for getting away from everything that's tied to memories that are better left forgotten for the moment. It was Arya's idea that he take a break, clear his head, and have a little fun. A recommendation that he'd stared at her for, and raised a brow. How do you just take a break after conquering Westeros and becoming King?

Apparently, this is how. Because when Arya wants something, she gets it. King or not he'd been dutifully nudged into a ship and sent off to get away. Arya had come with him, to make sure he didn't turn the ship around and come right home the first chance he'd be able to. But once they were on Canto she'd locked him out of the ship and told him to not come back until he wasn't frowning so much anymore. Which of course had only made him frown more at her before he'd found himself in the casino.

Wracking up a good amount of credits, he settles at the bar. Drink in hand, he's leaning back against it so he can watch the room as he nurses it. He's not exactly frowning anymore, but he's not smiling either. A broody look, coupled with a darker energy that's putting most off from approaching him, something he's doing on purpose really.

Jon Snow • Jedi / Bounty Hunter AU

Basically, Westeros is it's only dysfunctional galaxy with the main cities being the planets. Targaryens were Sith Lords and due to Mad King being super mad and evil Force-sensitives were outlawed. After being told his parentage - Targaryen blood - Jon stole a ship with his Loth-wolf companion Ghost and hopped far, far away. Jane saved him, brought him to the academy where he was trained and learned.

Totally up for academy shenanigans, or general fit your character into the AU run in's or a 'who are you, you weren't at the academy with me' encounters. Or open to having job needs since he and Jane are working as bounty hunters. ]

She's sitting alone by the counter, and while she's certainly dressed for the occasion, people have been steering clear of her, perhaps because they can somehow sense the rage that's hardened into an armor of frozen fire around her. She's nursing a glass of accarrgm, and while it's terribly potent for most people, she's downing it as though it's only water.

Her battle plan for the rest of the night: drink herself blind, stumble into some stranger's bed and fuck herself up ever more. Her life certainly couldn't get much worse, could it?

[ Everything as far as events/the timeline goes is canon. The only difference is that Poe is Force-sensitive. He had a latent connection to the Force, which was inadvertently fully opened when he was tortured at the hands of the First Order and Kylo. (For Bens that aren't/didn't become Kylo, assume one of the Knights for the Force mindfuckery portion of the torture.)

Default canon point is ambiguously post-TLJ, and depending on the line he's usually in denial or reluctantly dealing/quietly trying to figure things out on his own. (Which goes about as well as one would expect.) For lines with some distance from canon events he has a variable level of control, at least in terms of being less likely to accidentally do things. I'm down for any and all shenanigans. ^_^ ]

[ In her original canon she's a gender swap of a witch and former witch hunter. In Star Wars, she's a Force-sensitive hunter, who keeps a tight lid on the fact she can use the Force since sometimes she does jobs for people who might take an unwelcome interest in that fact. Generally unknown to her due to growing up an orphan and raised on the streets (getting her acclimated to questionable legality and morality early), she gets her Force-sensitivity from her mother, who was a Nightsister.

Her primary 'canon' is with Cloud-Rider Jacen, where he convinced her to join him and they aided the Resistance post-TLJ... which eventually draws the First Order to Dathomir, spawns a battle, and results in witchy shenanigans when she taps into the natural magic of the planet. Alternatively, her original Resistance-friendly verse involved her being hired to kill Poe Dameron but when the opportunity comes she doesn't and he convinces her to assist them. Her general AU can easily work with just about anyone and any time though. ]

Jane had figured she'd won enough credits for the night — enough not to be suspicious, anyway — so she'd walked away from the sabacc table before she could be tempted to stick around for one more game. She was great at sabacc; her father had taught her well, plus she wasn't exactly averse to using the Force just a wee bit when it was justified. Like when she was playing against assholes.

That and she had to meet with a contact. She'd never met him (her?) in person, but they've had several exchanges over the past weeks, and her gut had told her that if there was anyone who could get her intel to the Resistance without raising any flags, it was this one.

She waited by the bar with a glass of brandy, though she kept her back to the rest of the crowd, certain that whoever she was meeting would have no trouble locating her. Her red dress was already a dead giveaway, very Targaryen, and matching the color of the lightsaber she was rumored to possess. And one couldn't really miss the burn scars that spanned the length of her left arm all the way up to the side of her neck, a feature easily attributable to the bounty hunter named Caedus.

[Incorporates a bunch of info from Senator AU Jacen up there. Movieverse goes as normal up until the end of TLJ. Ben gets stuck in a time loop while attempting to take Jace out of the picture. He finally realizes his family, you know, means something and ends up defecting from the First Order and assists Tenel Ka in putting down a coup. He's now exiled to Hapes, working as the head of Tenel Ka's personal commandos, and basically trying to meditate away all of his rage.]

Rey had thought that she was used to the glitz and glamour of the galaxy by now, having been in Hapes long enough that she'd believed she'd already seen everything. The Hapans, after all, were notorious when it came to all things bright and beautiful, and as a personal friend of the royal family, she was afforded the same lavish accommodations whenever she was in the planet.

But Canto Bight was an entirely different level of luxurious. And loud. And obnoxious.

The trip was supposed to be purely for business. What for, she wasn't actually privy to, though all that mattered was that it meant the Queen Mother was going off-planet, and with her, as part of the terms of his exile, Ben. But Jacen had quickly decided and found a way to turn the trip into a family outing, even if Cantonica wasn't exactly a family-friendly destination.

The first night, she had dinner with the royal family. Jacen, as usual, had been on a roll with his dumb jokes and lame puns. Tenel Ka, as usual, had been poker faced all throughout, but Rey knew deep down that the queen enjoyed it all.

Tonight, Ben had asked her to join him for dinner.

They were still weird. Somehow, they'd never gotten past weird. But he was her friend, and she couldn't turn him down. (Turning him down tended to be more trouble than what it was worth.)

Tenel Ka had lent her one of her dresses — which technically was a dress the queen had never worn and would never wear, if she could afford to lend it out. Still, it somehow seemed to be made for Rey, suiting her perfectly.

"You look beautiful," the Queen Mother said, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Jace was bouncing Allana on his knee, but he took a moment to look up at the ladies, grinning. "Now if my brother would just hurry up already."
