Then circled around to pick up the laundry pod where Kay had placed it. He tossed it into the machine, stripped off his clothes, and tossed them unceremoniously after. The only things set aside with any care were the ID transponder off the breast of his jacket, his belt, boots, and ankle holster. He slapped his palm to the control panel. With the reassuring layer of white noise, he finally turned away from everything else and toward the waiting bed.
