There was a little of that on Carol's end as well. In general, Carol punched first and thought second. And with a body as nearly indestructible as hers, it only supported that mind set.

But the key word there was nearly. There were still things that hurt her, that could take her out. And while they were few and far between, she did find herself stopping to consider them before diving in. It was more than worth taking a minute to think if it kept her alive not just for the universe, the Avengers, but for Cassian.

Her smile widened and she leaned in to steal another quick kiss. "Do the job well." A reminder, though she knew he would even if she didn't say it. "But then, yes. We'll have some fun."
