OPEN RP POST — jurassic world, but with lightsabers??

whatever it is you've been doing
you are now in Myrkr!

That's right. It's just like those jamjar games.
One moment you're minding your own business, and then... poof!
You're in Myrkr for no apparent reason.
(Or you've always wanted to be here, and you finally did it. Whatever, we're not the cops.)

That's not the weirdest part, though. Because you might be seeing double.
It's like the time-space continuum (or the Force, whatever) collapsed over the forest
and now doubles and multiples of you or people you like hate want to kill know are appearing.

Not only that, the forest is also teeming with
canines who can sense the Force and hunt Force-sensitives (vornskr),
genetically-enhanced vornskr because reptilian hounds are cooler (voxyn),
and lizards that can create Force-neutralizing bubbles (ysalamiri).

So go have fun with that!

As if it wasn't already weird enough to be talking to someone who looks like a teenage version of Jane, the girl introduces herself as Allana, which also happens to be the name of Jane's daughter. And just when he thought he's heard the end of it, the girl says her father is... him. Mom prefers Snow though. Because it's more true to who my father is and what he stands for, Jon Snow.

Color drains from his face as he panics from the implication of those words, and he takes a small step back as though it would help steady himself. Seven hells, a child claiming to be his? It's impossible for her to be his with Jane, despite the resemblance, but she doesn't need to be if she's part of some scheme to start trouble between the Iron Throne and the North.

He takes a deep breath, barely hearing what else the girl's saying, although he catches something about sparring and then finding herself here? It seems too outrageous a story for her to be lying about it. "Let's... let's get you home, then, Allana." He feels like the ground is continuously shifting beneath his feet, but when has he been able to turn away someone in need? "Where is home, though? And who is your mother, if I may ask?"

There are too many features about her that blend his with Jane's though. Her father's, his, same expressive eyes that make it harder for her to lie but easier for her to flirt and get away with things a little more at court are especially hard to argue away. And honestly, there'd be much easier ways, better ways for some wayward child trying to stir trouble then running into him on a strange jungle island. How would anyone know he's here, or that he'd be here if his ship ended up here by storm anyway?

She doesn't like the color draining from his features, nor the way he steps back slightly even if he pretends to steady himself with the move. It's enough that she can't quite keep it off her features either, that it stings that he doesn't seem to recognize her, that he's paled when she gives him her name and proof that she's his.

There's a small nod though at the offer to get her home, because anywhere that gets her back to the father that doesn't look at her like a complete stranger would be nice. "Alderaan," she offers as she looks down, not sure she can take it if he doesn't recognize the location or worse pales even further at the mention. "My home is Alderaan. And my mother is Jane Snow, formerly Jane Solo of House Organa." She's still not looking at him as her fingers slowly wrap around the sword and she pulls it from the ground easily. It's a shame it's a training sword, so she doesn't exactly have a sheath or somewhere to put it, instead having to carry it by hand anywhere they're going.

"Alderaan," he echoes softly. He knows it, not that he's ever been there. He knows Jane, after all, and the fact that her name is the name Allana gives in answer to his question about her mother only has him sigh. It can't be. It's either a joke or a delusion, although the way the young woman in front of him has deflated makes him feel like it's neither. Like she really believes it. What could he do? What could he even say? It seems cruel to burst her bubble, but wouldn't it be more cruel to have her continue to believe a lie?

He shakes his head. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, my Lady." He never did like lying, and his life had revolved around lies for so long he no longer wants any part of it. "Jane Organa... is Queen in the North." A warrior queen, a fine queen; there are many songs about her. "I would gladly help you return to Alderaan, but I must first locate my companions and, hopefully, our way off this island."

Except it's not a lie. There's no way she's grown up calling Jane mother and Jon father to not be true. And the fact that he's not recognizing her, that he's claiming her mother is some other queen, well, it's hard to swallow and it just hurts deep down. But at the same time, the fact that he doesn't recognize her makes her wonder what exactly is going on here, because really, how could her own father not know her. How is any of this possible?

Her nose wrinkles slightly and she shakes her head. "Aunt Sansa is Queen in the North." Not'dad, your words aren't getting any less confusing. "Dad stayed in Alderaan with mom after he died at Castle Black, freeing him of his vows." It's probably not surprising to her family she knows her parent's love story by heart, she's the romantic between her siblings. Though she's pretty sure Azor has a romantic side he's just hiding. She chews on her lower lip a little though as she watches him. He looks like he carries a lot more weight than her father now that she's really looking at him, like things are harder for him. "Aunt Daenerys tried to take the Iron Throne, but without the North's help she didn't really succeed even with her dragons, and Uncle Bran rules the six kingdoms now," she murmurs softly.

She glances around a little as he mentions locating his companions. "Who all came with you? How many of them are we looking for?" Because it gives her something to focus on, something to distract from the ache in her heart. Something already tells her that when she finally makes it home, she's going to be hugging both her parents very tightly for a very long while.

His eyebrows lift at her version of Westeros' history. Bran and Sansa, ruling Westeros and the North? And he — well, Jon — in Alderaan? It's a little hard to wrap his head around that idea, because there's a name that should be in the narrative but is missing, and he thinks he knows the implications of that but doesn't want it to be true. Glancing around him, he finds a large and smooth enough boulder for both of them, and he gestures for her to take a seat. They can look for the others later; she's too upset for him to want to ignore. Not that he actually could, actual child or not.

He sits beside her, not too close to be intrusive, but close enough for conversation. "Sansa is Lady of Casterly Rock," he starts, offering his version of the events. "Bran is Lord Commander of the Kingsguard." Bran had always wanted to be a knight, and all of the Stark children of his generation knew that. "I..." He swallows. "Jon," he says instead, because it's easier for him, "was Master of War to Robb, the King in the North, until Daenerys went on her campaign for the Iron Throne and his parentage was exposed. They call him Aegon now, the King of Westeros." There's the slight lift of the corners of his lips as he recalls a joke in the family. "The King of the South."

He glances at her, wondering how she's taking this. It seems a lot to put on a young girl who truly believes her truth, but it is what it is.

He can ask about that name that's missing, but he's probably not going to like the answer to what happened to that missing name. Though she's guessing that he can probably suss it out considering he's not in the narrative anymore. She rests the sword against the boulder and shifts to settle on it easily, watching him. Truthfully, she doesn't mind sitting and talking with him, even as it feels weird to hear a different turn of events.

One leg comes up as she listens too, her arms resting on it so she can prop her head up, tilted slightly so it's easy to watch him next to her. "Is Uncle Bran broken in your," she pauses because story isn't the right word, but world feels completely wrong too. Eventually, after her nose scrunches as she tries to suss out a good word, she settles on, "timeline?" It's the best way to say version without making it sound like he's wrong or she's wrong for their events. "Uncle Bran in my timeline was pushed out a window by Jamie Lannister, can't walk anymore. But he can travel with animals when he wants, so he can fly or run when he wants, in a way."

Her brow creases though, Master of War to Robb when he was fighting. "But how were you Master of War when you were vowed to the Night's Watch? Or did you never go to the Night's Watch?" Because there's just no way she feels comfortable calling him by name. Even if he's not her father, it feels weirdly disrespectful to call him Jon or Aegon. "My dad didn't want the Iron Throne. He just wanted Mom and us, Az and I were like two or three when he came to Alderaan. And because Uncle Bran was willing to take it instead, he was able to just stay in Alderaan with mom."

It's a lot, honestly. But thinking of them as different versions, different timelines helps some. It gives everything a little distance. Though there's still pain in her eyes, though part of it might just be the romantic in her because she can see how in love her parents are and part of her things they're destined. But here he is saying her mom married Robb instead. It's weird, not'dad.

Timeline. Well, yeah, Jon supposes that's one way to put it. It's still strange, of course, but he's seen his fair share of strange things in his lifetime. "Aye, Bran was pushed out the window too, but he was able to walk again." He distractedly looks up at the sky. "They say Jane had healed him."

Then he turns to look at her, shaking his head a little. "No, I went to the Night's Watch. But I deserted." He couldn't believe he'd done it, really, right until he'd arrived at the Stark camp in the Riverlands and Robb and Jane had hugged him like he was the best thing that had ever happened to them. Following the young girl's trail of thought, though, he continues, "I didn't want the Iron Throne, either. But there was no one else."
