you are now in Myrkr!


That's right. It's just like those jamjar games.
One moment you're minding your own business, and then... poof!
You're in Myrkr for no apparent reason.
(Or you've always wanted to be here, and you finally did it. Whatever, we're not the cops.)

That's not the weirdest part, though. Because you might be seeing double.
It's like the time-space continuum (or the Force, whatever) collapsed over the forest
and now doubles and multiples of you or people you like hate want to kill know are appearing.

Not only that, the forest is also teeming with
canines who can sense the Force and hunt Force-sensitives (vornskr),
genetically-enhanced vornskr because reptilian hounds are cooler (voxyn),
and lizards that can create Force-neutralizing bubbles (ysalamiri).

So go have fun with that!

"I miss my bear," she added following after him, using her staff as a walking stick. "We should be at the meeting place by dawn though."

"I believe even your bear would have difficulty in these woods," he commented, cutting more of the growth with his sword in an attempt to try to at least make it a bit easier for them to walk.

"He might fare better than we are at least," she looked over at him with a shrug and continued onwards. "We can't possibly have that much more to go, we've been walking forever."

"In that, you may be right," he acknowledged with a dip of his head. "If these woods weren't so dense, we would be able to know more."

"We're still heading in the right direction at least," she offered, venturing a glance in his direction. "It would be nice, being with you, if it wasn't for the bugs and the tree roots."

At that moment, he stumbled a bit.

"...Those tree roots I just tripped over?"

Reaching out quickly Rey caught his arm as he stumbled, looking up at him with a grin. "I meant the once I almost tripped over, but I think yours were worse."

Ben gave a nod of thanks for the assist. "I do not like this place," he said, as if it really needed stating.

"Well I'm not gonna carry you," she said with a little laugh before hopping down from the last of the roots to level ground. "We can't be that far, we've been at this forever."

"I'd agree, but I can't see anything ahead," he admitted. "Only more trees."

[goazon]

"When we find one that doesn't look so," she glanced up and wrinkled her nose pausing, "sticky I'll climb up and see what there is to see."

He looked around. All the trees nearby looked sticky. "We'll need to keep walking, then."

[goazon]

"I hope you're not counting this as part of the courtship, Prince." She gave him a grin quickly pulling herself up onto a rock to try and get a better look around.

He pondered that for a moment, pulling himself up beside her.

"If you enjoyed it, I might," he suggested, straight faced. Though there was the slightest twitch...

"If we were less dressed and everything was less sticky looking, maybe I would." Rey turned to glance at him as he pulled himself up beside her before taking in the view again. "There," she spotted a plume of smoke a few miles to the east. "That's where they're waiting."

Well, that was something. He opened his mouth to retort, only to have it turn into a short curse. "We've been going in the wrong direction."

Squinting against the horizon Rey looked thoughtful. "We've tacked another hour on by foot I'd guess, but come on, you've got those long legs, they must be good for something."

"Usually, yes," he said, voice even, "but not when we are in a thick of a forest with roots everywhere."

[goazon]

"It sounds like we'd be doing a lot more if we were not in this forest." She gave him a grin before turning to climb back down the way they had come. "Come on Prince or you'll never get to court me somewhere less sticky."

He couldn't help the short laugh at that, climbing back down himself to try to move in the right direction, this time.
