you are now in Myrkr!


That's right. It's just like those jamjar games.
One moment you're minding your own business, and then... poof!
You're in Myrkr for no apparent reason.
(Or you've always wanted to be here, and you finally did it. Whatever, we're not the cops.)

That's not the weirdest part, though. Because you might be seeing double.
It's like the time-space continuum (or the Force, whatever) collapsed over the forest
and now doubles and multiples of you or people you like hate want to kill know are appearing.

Not only that, the forest is also teeming with
canines who can sense the Force and hunt Force-sensitives (vornskr),
genetically-enhanced vornskr because reptilian hounds are cooler (voxyn),
and lizards that can create Force-neutralizing bubbles (ysalamiri).

So go have fun with that!

Hana looked up at her mum, frowning just slightly. "And leave you to deal with the front?"

"I'll be alright, there's no time, cover me!" Waving her daughter out of harm's way Rey braced herself for the vornskr's attack.

Is okay!

Hana's eyes widened.

"Mom!" She yelled, shooting at the vornskr quickly. A stupid move, yes, but sometimes Hana was too much like her name sake - and always shot first.

"Keep back!" There was no mincing words in that moment and as the shot her daughter fired drew the beasts attention towards Hana, Rey leapt in and attacked.

Dammit, Hana did not want her mother jumping in the beast. She aimed again, shooting off some more blasts to try to distract it.

Attacking ruthlessly to try and keep the thing focused on her instead of her daughter, hoping that Hana might be able to hit one of its weak spots and take it down while she kept it busy with close combat.

Hana kept firing. At the very least, it seemed to be distracting the beast and keeping it from attacking her mother. Which is very much not a wanted thing - no biting the mombacca, beastie. She's not aiming as such, just firing at whatever part of the beast comes in the sight.

Continuing to draw the beast away from Hana and expose more of it and less of her to her daughter's blaster fire Rey slashed the creature across one of its legs, making it rear back which allowed her to put some distance between herself and the beast long enough to catch her breath.

The slash look deep on the back, and Hana aimed right for it. Maybe now the hide was pierced the blast might make an effect... Or at least that's what she hoped.

While her daughter opened fire Rey went in for the kill, slicing the creature up its middle as it reared up. She didn't move back in time, caught by one of its claws across her arm but though the gash was nasty looking it could be so much worse, and most importantly the creature fell to the ground in a heap.

When the creature fell to the ground, Hana was still, a bit shocked. And then her brain kicked into gear.

"Mom!"

Still catching her breath Rey looked down at her arm, already tugging one of the lengths of fabric she wore draped over her torso free of her belt to use as a bandage. "Alright, I suppose we call your father."

"Are you okay?" She hadn't seen her Mom get hit at any point during the fight. Was the hit cause by her blaster fire, or by the big thing they'd just finish fighting?

[goazon]

"The little bastard got me," she scowled as she wrapped up her arm, putting pressure on it. "Let's get back to the ship, I need a bacta pac and I think it might be better if we stick out the lecture and see if the big guy can come pick us up."

[forcepilot]

Hana just nodded, looking behind them. "Let's hope we can find the ship again," she muttered.

"Don't joke," Rey said, though she gave her daughter a weary smile anyway. The gash on her arm hurt, but it wasn't worth sending her daughter into a panic over. "We headed in from the West, I remember those tree roots up ahead."
