OPEN RP POST • STAR WARS MINGLE ⭐️

whatever it is you've been doing
you are now in Canto Bight!
That's right. It's just like those jamjar games. One moment you're minding your own business, and then... poof!
You're in Canto Bight for no apparent reason.
(Or you've always wanted to be here, and you finally did it. Whatever, we're not the cops.)
That's not the weirdest part, though. Because you might be seeing double.
It's like the time-space continuum collapsed over the city
and now doubles and multiples of you or people you
So go have fun with that!
HOW TO PLAY:
- Toplevel your character. Different version/AU, different toplevel please.
- Add a short background or link to an info post, and indicate prefs. TELL US WHAT KIND OF SHENANIGANS YOU'RE LOOKING FOR. Shipping, smut, family reunions, dark side shenanigans, murder, a Ben Solo smackdown...
TrollReply to others.- Lather, rise, repeat.
- Please note that while the intent of this post is for characters from various Star Wars verses to mingle, you don't need a Star Wars character to play! All characters are welcome — characters AU'd into SW, characters having interacted with SW characters in games and memes, fandom OCs, ship babies, etc.
- Have fun and be excellent to each other! ♥

"Nonstandard neural array, recovered from a memory wipe." He replied, matter-of-fact as he was about everything, "Other than that, industry standard. I suspect that if you have such a high regard for me, the droids you've been interacting with are sub-standard."
no subject
"So many don't see Droids as anything but machines, when they are really much more."
no subject
Of course, maintaining functionality was almost-but-not-quite a euphemism for retaining the information he would need to be able to pose as an Imperial droid again as necessary, but he wasn't going to let on about that, yet.
There was a moment of calculation before he asked: "So you're one of the activists?" He certainly sounded like the people campaigning for droid rights, though Cassian generally tried to keep Kay away from them for their sake less than Kay's.

Although Kay has Anakin a little confused, "Activists? I don't think so?"
no subject
It wasn't that Kay thought some droids were better than others, it was simply that he knew that some were designed with a single task and purpose -gonks for instance couldn't ever stand in for a protocol droid- whereas the droids rights activists thought they should all be treated equally, as fully-functioning beings.

So he condensed his opinions, "Mostly they need to understand that a large percentage of droids, more than three-quarters, wouldn't even understand that they had rights if they were given." And a heavy sigh to go with the derisive snort followed, "They don't realize that a mouse droid, for instance, is only ever going to be good for making deliveries within a small radius."

"But no, it isn't an easy answer, nothing ever is." He paused then, "Except base ten mathematical systems, those answers are always easy. Base six isn't so difficult either."
no subject
Although Kay's answer makes him laugh. "No, you're right. I knew base ten before I could read, and mastered base six before reading."
no subject
"Statistics are easier to deal with than people are." He added, giving what amounted to a shrug, a brief lifting of both hands in a half-helpless, 'what can you do?' kind of gesture, "That's where the easy answers are."

"I prefer flying. It's like my ship and I become one, and just. It's so simple. People I'm...not always sure how. What to say." Obi-Wan tends to be critical of what he chose to say. Or do.
no subject
A quiet, almost inquisitive sound followed, "But I don't suppose it would be that easy for you." Because humans tended to worry about things like 'hurting each other's feelings' and that wasn't a problem Kay had.
no subject
But the quiet sound and the comment... "It used to be, when I was little. Now it just seems like I say the wrong thing all the time." Growing pains, Obi-Wan called them.
no subject
Some more than others, certainly, but it was definitely something they all had in common.
no subject
"He'd probably tell me I should be investigating this city instead of taking to you but I'd rather be here." And he didn't feel the Force pushing him away beyond his intrinsic need to move or fidgit."
no subject
"I wasn't aware there were that many Jedi left." Probably not the right thing to say, but straight to the point because that was just how he operated.
no subject
Perhaps this is why he felt safe talking with Kay. There was something he needed to know.

It didn't yet occur to him that he might be altering a timeline by saying so, mostly because it hadn't yet occurred to him that they were from different realities even despite the fact that he knew he'd 'died' before arriving here.
