Meanwhile, Galina stops and stares for a moment before she yells happily to greet her friend.

"This is so exciting! You're glowing!"

“Galina?” Jane stares back in surprise, then lets out a hearty laugh. “Wow, you’re here! This is great!”

She turns to the bartender and signals for a drink — also a fruit shake — before shifting her attention back to her friend. “Who are you with? Is your dad here?”

"Can I have a fruit shake too?" Not gonna lie, she thinks the fruit shake looks delicious.

"I'm with my sisters. One of them is getting married soon, so we're celebrating!"

"Yeah, got you one just like this." It's a mix of fruits. She's not sure what sort exactly, but it's a great blend and she might be starting to get a little addicted.

At the mention of weddings, Jane gushes. "I love weddings. Did you know I got married twice? To the same husband, of course." She laughs, fishing out her phone from her purse. "Tell your sis congratulations for me?"

Once Galina has her drink, she takes a sip with a straw. "Oooh, I can taste the strawberries and pineapple."

"Awwww I didn't know that." She nods, "My dad proposed to my mum five times. Finally she said yes right before he jumped out of a plane." A laugh, it's declassified knowledge. "Will do! It's very exciting, and weddings are fun!"

"Well, we were sure we're getting a fancy wedding because of our families, so we decided to elope. Drove to the Niagara for the weekend, then spent a few days in Tokyo afterwards," she admits with a giggle, scrolling through the photos on her phone then showing a couple to her friend. Okay, so she's luckier than most to be well-off enough for random trips abroad, and so is her husband, but they really only splurge on their travels and their dogs and occasionally their families. Like this vacation.

"But, okay, wow. Five times, really? And he jumped off a plane?" There's some serious admiration there, because, yeah, she skydives, but imagining Galina's dad... that's actually super cool. "Did your sister's fiance have to jump off a plane too?"
